HOW TO STAY PRODUCTIVE DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON

  |     |   Uncategorized

The colder temperatures around the holidays can make it tempting for residents to stay inside our cozy Chicago apartments and fall behind on important tasks. Here are some tips to help you stay productive around the holidays!

TIPS FOR HOLIDAY PRODUCTIVITY
1. USE THE WEEKEND TO MAKE YOUR SHOPPING LISTS

Sit down on the weekend with your loved ones and plan out all of your holiday shopping lists. This includes not only when and where you’ll be doing any holiday shopping, but also the things you will need for holiday parties such as gifts and foods. Do you have an office party? Are you having a get-together with friends at your apartment in Chicago? Don’t forget to leave those out!

2. SHOP ONLINE AFTER WORK
Shopping on the web makes it much more convenient to get all of your presents in time without having to beat the rush at the stores. This can reduce the time you’ll need to spend at the mall or looking for parking.

3. WORK TIME IS FOR WORK
Once you get to the office, put the holidays out of your mind so you can focus on the tasks at hand. If you followed the first two tips, you’re already ahead of the game and you won’t have to stress about shopping and holiday planning while you’re at work. Plus, if you get everything done at work, you won’t have work tasks in the back of your mind when you have time off for the holidays.

4. BEAT THE HOLIDAY SHOPPING RUSH
You might say you’re going to do this every year, but do you follow through? This year, do it! Don’t wait until the last minute because Christmas shopping will always be a madhouse if you put it off too long. Early morning shopping is always best for beating the crowds as well, so set an alarm and get it done ahead of time.

If you stay on task and keep focused, you’ll breeze through the holidays and be able to spend more time snuggling up in your apartment while you open presents. Don’t forget to refer your friends to us! Contact us to find out which of our floor plans are available this month and in the new year!
