The Neighborhood/History

Comprised of nearly 30 interconnected structures built between 1880 and 1965, Cobbler Square Loft Apartments was formerly a Dr. Scholl’s factory. The unique complex was converted to apartments in the mid-1980s, and underwent a complete renovation in 2009. The result? One of the most interesting rental communities in Chicago.

Located in Old Town, voted one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the nation, Cobbler Square is in the middle of some of the best shopping, nightlife and fine dining and history in the City of Chicago. The community is in the gallery district, exposing residents to an array of cultural influences. Sample one of nearly 100 different craft beers at Pour House. Get styled at Arch Apothecary. Spend an evening laughing at Second City or Zanies. Get romantic over some an Italian dinner at Orso’s. Dive into some sweets at Fudge Pot. Cobbler Square Loft Apartments is within walking distance of mass transit, so traveling to the shops on Oak Street or Magnificent Mile, the parks and beaches near Lakeshore Drive or the museums of downtown Chicago, is a breeze.
